ok, i got ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- all wired up, finally. im running an IPAC2 and an Opti-PAC w/ a Happ 3" TB. i wired it up accordingly to Andy's site. im also temporalily running WinXP and Mame32. the TB is recognized in windows, BUT. when i move it up/down the cursor moves left/right, and when i move it left/right, it dosent move at all. im not sure if the axis' should be reversed, but wouldnt that mean left and right should move the cursor up and down, rather than nothing? please leave some feedback.

The up and down that moves left and right is definately an axis problem. The left and right that does nothing could be a wiring problem or an encoder problem. Change the up down and left right wiring and make sure you check the left right wires that are not giving any movement.

is different than Happs'
http://www.happcontrols.com/faqs/faq_trackballs.html

I just wired up my trackball today using Andy's diagram and it was definitely NOT correct. I had to switch the X and Y axis' to get things working correctly.
Now that i've got it all setup, i'm having a lot of fun with Centipede and Golden Tee.
