pacman rom glitch

Hi guys. When i play pac man the third animation( I think)  has a glitch in it the red ghost scrambles, The game still plays fine. Is this from the original hardware ? Were they all that way?

It plays just like the arcade on my machine.  What version of mame and what pacman roms are you using?

I had not one but two aliens from Galaga disappear on me last night.  No indication I shot them...just disappear.
