LuSiD's Arcade cabinet
« on: March 29, 2003, 05:27:23 pm »
For my cabinet, I plan to do a slightly modified version of LuSiD's Arcade cabinet.  I like his design, and it appears to be one of the easier cabinets to put together.  I'm going to be using a 19" monitor as opposed to a 25" TV, so I was planning on modifying the dimensions a bit.  I was going to adjust the width, height and depth so that the the cabinets proportions remain the same, but that it is smaller.  Has this been attempted much?  Most versions of this particular cabinet that I've seen have kept the same dimensions.  I would like to adjust all the dimensions by 5" - 6".  I don't think the width or the height would be a problem, but I'm not sure about the depth.  Also if I modify the width, I have to modify the control panel as well or it looks out of proportion, but if I make it 6" smaller is it going to be too crowded for 2 joysticks & six buttons apiece?  If anyone has attempted this let me know if there are problems/solutions.  Thanks!

BTW, if anyone is interested in downloading freeware classic arcade remakes, there is a website:
