Zimmtech is back again
« on: December 08, 2006, 07:45:01 am »
Old thread (2005)

This guy (website) is obviously selling MAME and the ROMs, is he not?

Look at the Games List - straight out of MAME.

Am I right in being ticked off at this guy?

(He just posted in my Craigslist this morning, and since he has an automated program to do that, I'm guessing he's posted throughout the U.S.)

Someone should email cinemarcade and ask if he has permission to use their arcade84 artwork as their logo...

Make sure you flag his posts to delete them.  I hope he gets his butt sued off the map.

From Dave at cinemarcade:

Quote
Thanks for the heads-up.  This is the second time I've had to warm him not
to use my work on his website, and I've once had to ask eBay to remove his
auctions that featured my work.  I've reminded him that each time it's been
brought to my attention by alert members of the community.  So when he does
this he's merely earning a reputation as a rip-off artist.  Thanks again for
the info.

Does anyone have the email addresses for the major arcade manufacturers still around (SEGA, NINTENDO, etc?)...someone should drop them a line as well.

I knocked this guy down very quickly a while ago with a quick note to the Namco anti-piracy line. He took his site down (then) within an hour.

I just sent them another note, here's the page - http://www.theesa.com/piracy/index.php

This scumbag just keeps changing the name before his domain....cuz the link on this page was different than the link that was posted on craigslist last week.  He had classicarcade.zimmtech.com and that redirected to his home page after I complained.  This guy is just renaming the page and reposting the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- with the new name until someone complains.   This guy is a real tool.

I'd say different.

I logged in using a junk e-mail address and he keeps trying to talk you into buying a 'membership' where he'll share all his secrets with you... for $67.

Still a loser, but different.
