Thinking about using these for speaker grills, any comments? Come in other(fan) sizes as well.

You might want to try a pair these in front of your speakers before you comit to them 100%.
The 'filters' might also work on your sound too. I'm sure they could be removed and replaced with a piece of grill cloth if needed.

I got a set from Bob Roberts, and they were good. Round version of those. I had to take a pair of dark stocking and cut out a circle to put in them. You could still see the very ugly hole I had to drill for the speaker.
