Question about CPO from MM
« on: December 04, 2006, 11:37:43 pm »
If I was to get a CPO covered with Polycarbinate laminate from MameMarquees.com, would a screw counter sunk flush with the CP show when covered by the CPO?

I hope I explained that the right way.....

Would I be better off just getting a paper version and making a new piece of plexi?
I'd really like to not use plexi.

To be safe - I would put some wood putty sanded smooth over the screw. That seems like it would be counterintuitive like "What if I want to take it apart?" but the truth is if you want to take that screw out, you'll have to peel off that polycarbonite anyhow. The screw is the least of your worries. no?

You could use carriage bolts and use them on top of the plexi, but I presume your wanting to hide the screw.

That is an excellent idea. Thank you. I'll bondo the screws in. They hold the large L brackets to secure the cp to the cab.

Thanks again.

Sure no problem - covering up that X-arcade will look great... take pictures!

Here is my X-arcade now.... it is barely an x-arcade.... :)
The L-brackets will be gone, replaced by larger ones under the CP.
I'm gonna bring that plexi cover out in the back and throw it as far away
as I can..... and then go find it incase I need to use it as a template for
a clear one..... I'll post pics when I'm done.
