I love the ideas of these controllers.  They seem to be great for some types of games.  I would love to see someone get a driver for these (hopefully with a way to discribe motion -> a joystick motion) and then use them with mame.  Maybe 720 or some other games with wierd inputs.

Anyway, saw it and though of the light gun driver development from ages ago...

I am amazed that people take the time to do this stuff. It is ridiculous.

Hoho yeah - Before the Topguns came along I was looking at hacking/converting the TrackIR system (uses a webcam, but ends up reporting 6-degrees-of-freedom movement to the PC, bit like the Wii) to use as a gun that could track without flashing....

Just too funny.

One was bad enough, but they both had to get in front of the camera in seperate vids?  Too many people have access to digital video cameras and the internet these days.

As far as the first vid, he really should have just done a few Print Screens and typed out whatever he needed to say.  It's hard to get any info out of what he's saying when all you can think of is "Geeze, guy, lay off the coffee and take a valium."

It's thanks to people like that that we no longer live in huts, eating rocks.

I made the same with a Palm Vx and an accelerator chip years ago (I mean the controller, not the daft video). With a game like mulg (ball rolling through a maze) it was actually pretty playable.
