n64 controller to USB
« on: November 30, 2006, 11:42:28 pm »
Has anyone used any of the available N64 controller to USB adapters? If so...what is your opinion of them?

I was thinking of getting one, but would like to hear from the boards before I do.

Thanks,
Xam

Adaptoid - out of production but avalable on ebay (expensive). Works great, including support for rumblepack, memory cards.

The other adaptors work, but not nearly as well, only allow for one controller, etc.

Thanks for the reply. You basically confirmed what I what I was thinking.
Everything I have read says the Adaptoid is the way to go if you can find/afford one. They are a bit steep for my budget though.
Being that I only play singlr player games, and am not too concerned with rumble....would one of the alternatives be a viable solution? In other words, is the game play and control sufficient with the alternatives?
