looking for blank/prebuilt joystick box
« on: November 30, 2006, 10:48:04 pm »
I would like to get a pre-built but blank joystick box.  Something like what x-arcade puts their solo stick or track ball in would be about right, but I want a blank empty box so I can install my own stick and buttons in.

X-arcade does not list anything like that for sale on their site.   Their Trackball box is on sale for $49 after rebate but I do not want a trackball or that button configuration.

Does anyone sell anything like this?

I know this is the obvious answer but why not build it yourself?  You could get it exactly the way you want and it's not too hard to do...

If time does not allow for building your own...ebay has some listed...or I think slik stik sells them also.

Woodworking is not my strong suit.  If I start with a ready-made box the end result will be much better.  I can drill a couple holes and such but I do not have the expertise or tools to do a good job on the box.

I imagine that I will find something on e-bay.

Mameroom.com has a good option for blanks.  There is a standard or you can design your own and get just what you want.  I suck with wood too.

If you have a Fry's around, you can just grab the 2 player x-arcade for 99 bucks.  Otherwise, Slikstik as mention above is one I know.
