Happ/cherry microwsitches jitter problem

HI to all i've got a streange behaviour from my microswitcthes mounted on a happ super:
the switch closes the circuit but reopens it for a brief moment (more or less 5 degree in the middle of the joystick lever travel)  during the joystick lever movment and it closes again at the end of the travel.
Do you guys think that replacing the switches will fix my problem?

I know that cherry should be the best microswitches, and for the buttons they really do. But can you suggest me another brand for the joystick.

One last question should give up on supers anh switch to japanese sticks? (i don't normally like them cause i use 3/4" wood panels)

faulty switches do cause this,just swap the switch with another from the joystick to prove and also check the wiring

I was about to buy some switches anyway as spare parts. SO i'll try to replace the fauty switches. Can moisture or dust cause this problem?

if dirt gets inside the switch or the contacts inside become tarnished then this causes intermittant action,what system are you running? is it arcade or mame because if its just one switch messing around then its just the switch if its all the switches then its a common wiring fault or something to do with the signal decoder.
do you have a switch test facility available,if so you can short out the common and signal wire and watch what happens

I'm using mame 32, my interface is a PSX pad (pure digital)  connected to an USB adaptor, the adaptor works fine with a PSX pad, but with my sticks i got a lot of jitter in a particular direction (down for one unit and up for the other one) even in the windows control panel so i can assume that is not a software or adapter failure. I think is a faulty switch maybe some MDF dust has contaminated theese switch while i was performing fitting tests, the strange thing is that they worked flawlessly until last month, after that they rested on my shelf until yesterday evening when i spotted the problem..

yes most likely switch as there is no common fault between the components

I can confirm now that te microswitches were malfuncioning, i replaced them with matsushita sealed ones and now my joysticks are again at top. I hat to replace 3 on 8 of the total. I was able to open them (the cherry ones i mean) and everything seems to be fine, i'll try to clean the inside mechanism to see if i can reuse them in some way.
