screen went blank
« on: November 22, 2006, 11:58:52 pm »
I recently purchased MK@ from a friend, and when I set it up in my garage turned it on it worked great for about ten minutes. The screen then went blank. I could still here the sound but no visuals. Do you have any tips on how to trouble shoot? Or is the screen shot.

if you get sounds but no picture you need to make a few checks, when you loose the picture turn up the brightness on the flyback transformer to see if you have any sort of picture then look for bad solder joints on the monitor chassis itself also look for a glow from the neck tube heaters.
the fact that it fires up for a few minutes points towards bad solder joints or bad caps
check for those solder joints first then if no luck get yourself a cap kit
