Since this thread has been brought back, I guess I'll give an update to my gaming.  I beat all the medium songs and it did not unlock any new game modes.  My guess is that the mode that was unlocked when I beat the game on hard was the same one that others unlocked on medium.  It makes sense that they'd make it so that you unlock the new mode no matter which level you beat the game on.

As for my progress.  I'm now 1 song away from getting 5 stars on hard mode, and I know I'm close to getting 5 on the last song, but I just can't quite do it.  A little more practice on the song and I should eventually be able to get it.

nice...i haven't really had much time to play this game lately.  work and life has been keeping me from playing it.  every now and then while i'm strolling thru BestBuy, i stand in line to play some people there.  i think it would be cool to play in a tourney of some sort.

Woohoo, finally got 5 stars on every song on hard mode.  I didn't get a chance to play for it a few days, which I guess allowed my hands to rest and let me hit the hard notes when I came back to it :)

If your wondering, the song that was the most difficult to get the 5th star on was carry me home.

Now on to getting 5 stars on every song in extreme mode (ya right, thats never going to happen)

My daughter's boyfriend left his copy of Guitar Hero I at her dorm.  Her and her dormmates play the crap out of it.  So I went to CC and got her her own copy and Guitar Hero II with the controller.  I went to buy the wireless "Flying V" controller but they couldn't ring it up for some reason....but a guy there said the controller sucked anyway.  I've never played it, but I actually play real guitar so that makes me think I would suck at the game....lol.
