Im planning on undertaking a project. My skills are pretty limited with all aspects of building an arcade machine, but i am willing to learn. What are some tips (what parts i need etc) you can give me before i undertake this and also what are some good reads to help me out. I will be taking some time off work soon, maybe a couple of weeks and this could help pass the time. Of course i know i wont get this done in a couple of weeks. Any help would be much appreciated.

thanks  :dizzy:

Well, have you ran out and bought a copy of the project arcade book yet? That is required reading for a newbie. That really is the best advice you can get right now. It is a good idea to really get your head wrapped around the big picture of this large of a project before diving in.

Look at the Newbie Guide here on the site.  That will give you a basic start to understanding what goes where.  Also get Saints book as Shardian recommended.  That book is like a bible for anyone getting into this hobby.  That is unless you like to spend hours and hours perusing the net for information. ;D
