Newbie here...need info on Mameroom plans.

Hey everybody...been a long-time lurker, so I'm kinda not a noob, but kinda still.

I'm starting to build a Mame cab with a Michigan State theme (green & white for those not in the know ;D) and it appears the Ultimate Arcade II might suit my needs.  My question is what kind of reputation does Mameroom have?  Has anyone here dealt with them, and what kind of experience was it?  Do the plans just get sent as a big PDF file, or does it come the old-fashioned way?  If it helps I plan on ordering the version with templates.  Any help anyone can give would be much appreciated. ;D

BTW, does anyone know a good source for pictures of Sparty?(MSU's mascot)  I plan on calling it Spartycade.

I would think if you're getting the full sized templates you'd get a hard copy.  I think cyber punk would be the one to talk to about that if I'm not mistaken.
Game programmers do not play games for a living.  Would you say a mechanic drives cars for a living?

Hey this is great! I myself have purchased the Ultimate Arcade II plans, complete with the templates. First, he sent me an email on how to get the PDF file ( Which I printed out ), then a couple of days later the full sized templates arrived, in a sturdy mailing roll. Overall I am VERY pleased with the plans - everything makes sense ^^
When I did become a little confused with the plans, I sent an email to him and he responded fast with help. He also cleared up the laminate problems I was having, oh and um as well as the TV problems lol  I say I recieved more than I spent already in return ! :)

I say go for it - perhaps we can even help each other out since I an building the same cab!

yop !..the actual plan is VERY accurate..no idea bout the cutouts though..

But if you use the plan it should be fairly easy to clone the UA2 cabinet easyly.

Point is,the plan is super accurate.

OH i am building same cabinet too...yeahhhh ! ! ! :D

I built the cabinent without the plans. Just looked at the Mamestation II pics and the ones on the Mame Room site. It is a great cabinet and I had no problems but it took a lot of planning and drawing. You should have no problems If you have the plans.

Have fun building.
