Wico 8way Actuators and springs
« on: November 15, 2006, 11:34:43 am »
Does anyone know how to build or get replacment Wico 8way Leafswitch Actuators and the springs.  I have four of these joysticks but only two have the actuators and springs.  I have been thinking of a way to build  them but haven't had any good ideas as of yet.

spring was it been possible to buy in happ. Spring from competion joystick is compatible from P360. P360 base is the same  how Wico.
I can execute actuator's. You would have to pass dimensions.

I will find the demensions for the actuator.  Some of the ones on that post look like they would work.......
As for the springs I don't think Happ has anything that will work.....

Measure actuator which you have. You can also measure spring.
you have example here:

I appreciate the help but I ended up getting 4 wicos that were taken from a Smash TV cab on ebay last night,  so I won't be needing the actuators

I know Chunce doesn't need the springs anymore, but just to clear up the confusion:

Kowal:  Wico leafswitch joysticks don't use a main spring like the one in the P360 for handle resistance.  They use a rubber grommet, similar to the one one an original PacMan stick.  They do use a little tiny spring to keep downward pressure on the actuator- this spring is not available from Happ.  Wico microswitch joysticks do use a main spring; a P360 spring might make a good replacement for that one.

Anyone who's looking for them:  Replacement actuators and small springs, along with balltop handles and rubber grommets can all be purchased from Ponyboy in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum.
