You know how happ trackballs often have those little scratches.  Is there a way to remove te scratches or a way to maintain the trackballs appearance?

If anything I think the Novus plastic polishes would be good for that?

The Novus sounds like a good place to start.  But the scratches usually have a cause.  Is the trackball fairly well-used?

A good possibility is that your rollers are starting to get worn out.  When they do, they get bellied out and and can pit, leaving more of the balls surface in contact with a not so very nice roller surface.  New rollers could save your ball if it's not too bad.

Just something to look into if you haven't already.

d = C / 3.14  :laugh2:

Just eyeball it.  They were only made in a given number of sizes.  You should be able to hold a ruler over the ball and look straight down on it.  Some of it will be hidden of course, but it should get you close enough.

you may also be able to take your ball to a snooker club / pool club and ask them to drop it through their polisher

there was a thread about this in the everything else forum a while back
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=45161.0

looking back this was a thread about cleaning pool balls but as a lot of trackballs are the same size it should work.
