Since we're talking about laminate . . .

Where are you guys getting your laminate? I got my samples from Wilsonart.com but I can't order from that site (unless I'm blind). Home Depot doesn't carry the color I want and I can't find any local retail distributors of WilsonArt.

So how do I get it?

Go to the custom kitchen area of home depot. Show them what laminate you want to order, they can ordert it for you.
If you build a frankenpanel, chances are I don't care for you as a person.

Wow...I just checked my local lumber yard.  They carry Wilsonart, but it's all in the neighborhood of $2 per square foot.  That would make it about $65 per 4'x8' sheet.  YIKES!  I hope Home Depot is a little cheaper.  I hadn't counted on spending a couple hundred dollars on laminate alone.  This thing is a bloody money pit!

Not sure about the Wilsonart but Formica was roughly $1.50 a sq. ft. (around $45) per 4' x 8' sheet at Home Depot. That was comparible to the selection of basic colors/patterns they already have in stock. Yeah, the kitchen/countertop section should have the color you're looking for. Plus you can take home those little sample chips to see if it matches your decor  :)
