here is the preliminary message from happ, im going to put together some options for this, the brake light would be cool as well as built in speakers & real chrome pipes..
dm

I have to make up a part # incorporating those options i.e. what seat color? Do you want side or seat grapics? Real metal exhaust pipes with additional speakers built in? Functional brake lights? 2 3 or 4 speed speakers? I do have a number in the system though 50-4093-00 for a basic one someone ordered it would be a Black seat no decals or other options, with a 2 speed (Hi-Low) shifter

I dunno about you guys,  but the HAPP CONTROL links from anywhere DO NOT WORK for me.  If I go to happcontrols.com I can find the products manually but every link from every board to happcontrols times out for me....both with the latest Firefox and my IE on this piece of junk Mac G4 I am forced to use at work.

Try stopping, then reloading the link, that should work.

Thanks....unfortunately that doesn't work with this piece of crap OS9 G4 I am forced to use at work.   I will try at home.   It doesn't work with this Macraptastic piece of garbage because IE doesn't actually paste the linked url in to the "address" field until AFTER connection.  So if I stop,  I am sitting there with a blank page and no way to reload.

If the link isn't working, go to happs home page (http://www.happcontrols.com/), then paste in the final link (http://www.happcontrols.com/driving/seat_pedestal_assembly.htm) in the same window

I think happs is trying to prevent direct links from outside it's site.

I guess I did not make my self clear, I was talking about if someone would like to help me design a front section of a cab to hook to the seat section, not a software frontend...
thanks

In that case, I would suggest copying the Hard Drivn' or Race Drivin' cabinets:

How much does that cost?

And, when will you be offering them?

Havok, the pictures are perfect that is what im wanting to build, now does anyone know where I could get measurements for a start...

As far as pricing I have pricing on a basic unit, it described above in a earlier message & now im getting pricing on a loaded unit, pipes brake likes, decals, speakers preintalled & 4 way shifter.  Im going to offer at my cost due to these are high & ask the buyer to pick up my cost freight & paypal fees if paying that way...then i will sell the add-ons at my normal pricing...
but if anyone knows where to get measurements I would appreciate it.
thanks

I'm suprised no-one has mentioned it but these were the standard seats used on Midway's racing cabs. They're used on SF Rush(es), Hydro Thunder, Offroad Thunder, and CART Fury.

Some of the flyers for those games have some decent pics, but the base is a bit different.
There's a pretty detailed pic also in the Rush 2049 flyer: http://www.arcadeflyers.com/?page=thumbs&id=937

They Just bolt to a standard wood cabinet. Crazykong.com has the manual for Offroad Thunder showing a little bit of the setup:

http://www.crazykong.com/manuals/manuals%20h-q/page3.html

These things were awesome with the subwoofer in the seat and the speakers right behind your head. They were even adjustable for different height players. I can't imagine what Happ is charging for them though.

I still like the cheaper alternative that someone had posted a while back:
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-Browse/s-10101/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2006990/p-2006990/N-111+10201+600003386/c-10101

If I ever had room to build a racing cab, that would be choice. I'm sure there's a way to attach speakers that wouldn't be too obnoxious-looking.
