Golden Tee and Opti-WIZ
« on: November 06, 2006, 11:02:46 pm »
I'm having one heck of a time getting my Happ trackball (connected to an Opti-WIZ) to work with any of the Golden tee games.

First off, I have my joystick input enabled because my other buttons are connected through a GP-WIZ. (This is for coin in & player start buttons)

When I get to the select the number of players screen, the selection just keeps on moving around. If I press the joystick down it stops. It would be nice to get rid of this!

The next thing is that my track ball does nothing in the game. I have the trackball mapped to the mouse. I would expect this to work since I can move the mouse with my trackball.

Please help, this is KILLING me!  :banghead:

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I do have mouse input enabled in Golden Tee.

Is it working in any mame game?

I'm guessing you have a GT specific config file (.cfg) that might have some weird configuration on it...

Also, remember that there are now more then one mouse on the system.  So make sure that you have it setup (in the tab menu) to look at the proper mouse...

Lilwolf  :applaud:

That was it!

I keep forgetting how many places there are to set up configuration in MAME and completely forgot about the TAB menu to change controls.

Once I got in there I set it up as I wanted and then copied it over to my default configuration so it's in all games.
