Joystick Identification / Info
« on: November 05, 2006, 10:33:33 pm »
Hello.   I recently acquired a Ghostbusters 3-person control panel and the gentleman who gave me the CP included the 3 original joysticks.  They are manufactured by "Coin Control, Inc." in Elk Grove, IL.  USA.   I assume this is HAPP Controls as I do believe they are located in El Grove, IL.

Can anyone identify these joysticks,  and perhaps comment as to their performance?  Are they worth putting in a CP?   Can they easily be converted to 4-way?

I also have 2 different joysticks in the CP that came with my cabinet.   Here are some really bad shots of the two.  Can anyone identify them and comment on their performance etc?

Joystick Player 1

Joystick Player 2

Thanks for any help!

Joystick player 1 is a Happ Super or knockoff

Joystick player 2 appears to be a Wico microswitch

you need to take clearer photographs that include the stick shaft and better shots of the base to be sure

and the joysticks at the top of your post are some kind of Suzo or Euro style stick, I dunno

To be clear,  the top two pictures are of two of the three joysticks that came stock with THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS and have "Coin Control, Inc. Elk Horn USA" on them.   I think you are correct re: PLAYER 1...I think it is a HAPP SUPER.

A little more info on PLAYER 2:  It has a metal shaft...if that helps...and a square pad below that pushes the switches...instead of round.
