problems with p360

How do you get these things to mount perfectly straight the mounting holes are mounted at almost a 45 degree angle. ive got it to where its pretty close but in fighting games you can tell the difference.  How do you get these things to be 100 straight?

 Also my player one joystick is making a bit of noise, it sounds like the spring is moving around a little bit,  you can feel it too, and its really annoying. Is this a defective stick, I took the stick off and sprayed wd40 on everything and it went away for a bit, but it started again.  Should i take it all the way apart or will it be a nighmare to get back together?

I don't know about the p360's in particular, but i would highly vouch for never using wd40 to lubricate anything.  It is an excellent degreaser / rust remover, but other than that it's really a shame that it maintains the popularity of duct tape for most home repairs.  Stick to silicone or (even better) teflon sprays for lubricating any moving parts in your machine.  If you need a heavy grease, use white lithium.

Most complaints of noise from a P360 turn out to be a pivot cone that's installed upside down.  The wide part should be towards the joystick base, the skinny end pointing up to the handle.
