Question about Ultimarc 360 and the maps
« on: November 05, 2006, 05:21:23 pm »
From what I understand, the Ultimarc 360 can be programmed to act as a 2-way, 4-way, 8-way, etc. without physically switching anything like a restrictor plate.  Instead, there are maps which tell the joystick that it is 4-way, 8-way, etc. (there are great diagrams on retroblast explaining it).  My question - can you configure the maps to load automatically with a certain game?  Like when you launch Pac-man can you tell the joystick to automatically go into 4-way mode?  I guess I'm just not sure how the maps work...

THANKS!!

If you are using the Mala front end, check out this thread:  http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=59334.0

This is the route I plan to take when I'm done my build.
