Greylite 31 installed, pics to come
« on: November 04, 2006, 01:43:43 am »
I just had to share with you guys. I masked and painted my Greylite-31 bezel today. It's incredible, just the right amount of tint. I'll get pictures, not that it might do much good of course. I had a piece of Greylite 14 up there before (not a fit cut) and it was good, but not perfect. It was almost too opaque for my taste. I was excited and I've come to realize that no one really understands like BYOACers. Friends say "cool" or "nice" but they don't feel the love.

Hi...

I am interested in your painting of the glass. What paint did you use (flat, gloss)? Did it adhere real well? I cant see any of the pictures when I click on your link. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, dan

I used a semi-flat krylon spray paint. It's tricky to take up the painters tape afterward, that's for sure. I'll snap some pics this evening. I did 3 coats, looks jet black behind the glass. As to how well it's adhering, I can't say I really tried to flake it off after drying, but I doubt it's real strong a binding. Can said 'for glass' so I got it.
