Planning my CP
« on: November 02, 2006, 11:44:29 am »
Hi all. I'm still pretty new here and I'm going through my first build with the help of Saint's book. I'm at the point where I'm trying to plan all the controls I'm going to use on my CP. I was originally intending to go "by the book" and have the basics (2 8-way joysticks, 1 4-way, spinner, trackball, etc). However, I ran across something somewhere here in the forums that stated that the Ultrastik 360s might allow me to not need a 4-way joystick at all. If this is the case, I'd really like to get a flight stick added for the likes of Tron and Gorf. This would be placed near the top of the CP slightly to the right of center. Spinner would be at the top near left of center. I'll probably throw in a button or two in between them.

Sorry I don't have a picture yet. I just cut a cardboard template of the CP and printed some templates out but haven't had the chance to lay it out and take a pic. I'm really interested to hear what you think. Perhaps someone has already done something similar? If I go this route, what's a good flight stick?

Thanks!
