Bezel & Coin Door question
« on: October 31, 2006, 09:17:37 am »
I was wondering if anyone knew what game this bezel was from? I've never seen it before and I'd like to find out a little more about what my cabinet was before it became my Mame machine. I know it was also a Rampage and Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters game as well.
Also, my coin door still has the "Token Use Only" notices in it but quarters work the machine. I've tried using old tokens that I still have but they don't work. I'm curious why they don't work. Are they not big or heavy enough? I even used an old Aladdin's Castle token that I had because my machine was used at Aladdin's Castle at some point because it still had a little plate on the side of it when I got it.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Don't know about the bezel..... But...

Your coin mech has been programed to take quarters and will probably reject anything else including tokens. It may be that the coin mech has been changed since the machine was on tokens or changed out for one that only takes quarters.

If you want it to take tokens then you may have to re-program it, or if it's a fixed type you may have to change it.  Photographs of the mech and any type numbers and manufacturer details for the mech would help to answer the question.

did you look for a name plate on the back or inside? Sometimes that will lead you to the original game.

As for the bezel, the first thing that came to mind was Tag Team Wrestling, but I don't think that's right. Gotta be some kind of sporting event involving people hitting each other, though. Just looks like that kind of crowd. :)

Looks more like a rock concert crowd to me... a music-themed game?  It's not Journey, though....
