Act Labs TV Setup Problem...
« on: October 16, 2006, 01:42:34 pm »
I just switched to a new PC yesterday in my cab, and got everything hooked back up, but now my Act Labs gun doesn't seem to be working.  I can get into the config mode (the switch on the side which makes the screen white), and I go through the motions of calibrating the gun, but when I turn it back into gun mode, it doesn't work.

When I click a button, it just shoots in the center of the screen.  It does this in both the windows XP environment, and in mame.  The screen flashes, and it moves the cursor, but it doesn't matter where I point, it always hits the center of the screen.

I can't remember if I'm missing something for setting this up (it's been so long since I set this up the last time, and it did work before on 2 previous computers, and I'm using the same video card from the last computer that this worked with on this new computer).

I tried searching for similar problems, but couldn't find anything, sorry if this has been asked before.

well, I think it's fixed now, I plugged into a different USB port (mind, they are all real ports, I don't have a hub), and it started working.  Not sure why it didn't work in the other port.  Back in business.
