Well, I'm working on some cosmetic touches and I have some speakers to cover. The space is 12" x 8" and right now I'm using doubled up black screening material. The speakers have led rings around them for showtime, but I'd like something smoother and less transparent to cover them, something like staggered perforated metal (black), plastic, or maybe even smoked plexi that I could drill out for sound to travel through. I found this site that has something like what I'd need, lotta loot for so little a space.

Is there anything like greylite 14 in acrylic? That would be slick. Thoughts, suggestions?

I've used jet-black knitted cotton t-shirt material to go behind the wire mesh.  It blocks out any view of the speaker and gives a very nice finished look.  IMO.

Black panty hoes doubled up would do the trick as well. Just don't let your wife catch you cutting them up.
