Trackball games
« on: October 12, 2006, 01:14:03 pm »
Hello All,

Just looking for some opinions...

I'm installing my trackball and I'm downloading my ROMS for it. I have a lot of the obvious ones -- millipede, centipede, crystal castles, and a couple bowling and pool games.

Any recommendations for games that use the trackball?

Thanks!
I'm with stupid.

Came across this Wikipedia article a while back.  Most of these I have not tried out.

Mame32 has a folder that has all the trackball games in place.  From the number I see, there are 982 games that can utilize a trackball (some may not be fully working, though).

So I clicked on the first one. Gotcha (1973).

I checked MAWs and there's a Got-cha Mini Game Festival but no Gotcha (KLOV).

Neither unmamed nor guru's dumping project list it as wanted.

MAWS only lists 147 including duplicates. I have a trackball on my cabinet and I only like about 6 games.

It's probably old enough that it's not a CPU game and therefore not applicable to MAME (like Pong, Space War, etc).  I like the purty pink 'breast' trackballs though LOL.
