Hack/speed version of Ms. Pac-man and Phoenix!?!?
« on: October 12, 2006, 10:04:46 am »

Hey!

I recently tried the fast-fire hack of Galaga.

I seem to remember there being a fast-version of Ms. Pac-man and I hear
rumors of a Phoenix fast-fire hack?

Maybe there's a list somewhere? ;D

Do you mean of legit arcade games that were sped up in the arcade?

In mame, several games have been tweaked. As for actual arcade games, I'm only aware of Ms. Pacman and Galaga.

Do the ghosts eventually get fast like in the arcade?

They do progressively get faster as you go through the levels just like stock play. I suppose MS does too, but she is already so fast you can hardly tell. When I was about 9 or 10 yrs old there was a Cafe right behind my house with Ms pac, I played it everyday. Only game in the entire town at the time. It was the speedy version. One of my favorite games all time. Gotta be speedy though!
