I'm working on restoring a Centipede and I found this page today, but I have no way of contacting the author.  Can anyone help?

Marknetwork needs to see that link. In fact, I'm going to give it to him!

haha leapinlew thanks for the link, restoring Centipede seems a lot more work than making a new HOTD machine with the cabinet ;)

His restoration was well worth the effort. The finished product is a thing of beauty. Making a Centepede into a House if the Dead is an abomination in the eyes if the gaming gods. Metaphorically speaking, you're standing on a hill during a thunderstorm waving around an iron rod and wearing copper underpants while screaming "all gods are ---daisies---".

Apologies to Terry Pratchett.

Do all Centepedes have the "fire" button off center of the CP from front to back?  There appears to be a nice little burst in the red portion of the CPO just aching for that button.  That would bother me.   But i'm anal.

Wow, I never even noticed that.  According to KLOV and MAWS, it's correct up high.  Looks like the CP overlay must've been initially designed for the button to go on that left mushroom, just like the trackball is on the right one.

My guess is that they had the fire button in the mushroom on the prototypes, but found out that it was too close to the front of the CP to comfortably rest your hand while playing.
