Hi everyone.
I'm having a problem with a generic arcade cabinet that I turned into a mame machine.
My cabinet is JAMMA and I'm using a J-PAC to interface my PC.
Today I noticed that the coin door lights were not working on it. So I decided to unhook my PC and plugged my Marvel vs Capcom board into it, but the board does not seem to be getting any power at all. And it used to work just fine.
A long time ago, I remember reading something about disconnecting the original power supply of the arcade machine before converting it to mame. I think it said something about the J-PAC not providing a sufficient load for the power supply or something, and it could cause the power supply to burn out. Anyhow, I know I didn't disconnect the original power supply when I mamed it.
So... Do you guys think I need a new power supply? And is a new power supply expensive?
Thanks for any insight into this (hopefully) minor problem.
