Happ 3" trackball mounting
«

I'm beginning work on my first cabinet and I'm looking for some good advice on mounting a Happ 3" trackball (bought used from a Golden Tee unit)
I will be constructing the cabinet from 3/4" MDF and the setup of the trackball makes it very difficult to mount to 3/4" material.
What I am thinking is that I will make a metal plate to fit into a routed out recess in the CP and then cut a hole the size of the trackball in that area. Next I'll fashion some sort of a plate to screw into the MDF that will sit under the trackball to hold it up in place.
Does this sound reasonable of am I making this way too complicated?

Don't order directly from HAPPS!!! They will, ahem, rape you in shipping.
Do order from divemaster or ponyboy here on the forums. Be sure to specify the 3" TB mount.
Not sure if it matters whether you have a highlip TB or not, may want to specify.

There's both of our answers,
specify a 3" high-lip TB mount!
