Replacement Pots for a Star Wars Yoke

Does anyone know where to find replacement pots for a Star Wars Yoke?  Also how do you remove the yoke from the control panel itself?  thanks.

May I hijack this thread?  

I'll be using the sidewinder pots so I don't really need to know the pot info but if anyone could tell me the diameter and tooth count of the pot gears I would really appreciate it.

p.s. to answer your first question:
They're 5k, 3/4 (?) turn pots not positive about the turns though. As for removing it, I believe it just uses security Torx bolts. I'm going to try to use the sidewinder pots and see how it goes.

Hey Rampy, would you mind measuring the gear (and counting the teeth) on the pot on the bottom of your yoke?

You may find that all or some of the bolts use security HEX heads.

I'll see when I get it. Bob Roberts will have what I need if I can't get into it. I've heard in the past that it was torx but it doesnt really matter.

Might get lucky...my Star Wars yoke had normal screws instead of torx security screws :>) ...... although when I got to disassembling my Spy Hunter steering assembly, I was met with the torx screw  :>(   After buying the torx security screws from Bob, all is well again in my world.....

Actually, just picked up a fullsize arcade air hockey table for $250, so my Mame arcade stuff is on hold for a couple of weeks until I can get it in my house (out of my garage).....a lot on my plate these days but VERY fun to do.......

Would you mind checking out the gear thats on the pot for me? I need outside diameter and total tooth count still.

I haven't had any luck with that info yet.

Little gear which turns Left/Right pot:
-> 1-1/4" diameter from gear tip to gear tip
-> 28 teeth

Little gear which turns Up/Down pot:
-> 5/8" diameter from gear tip to gear tip (***)
-> 14 teeth

*** Understand that this pot is mounted inside the metal housing and this information is very hard to determine.   I got a tape measure in there though and I believe I am very close with this measurement, however, I do not know how exact you want.... Basically, it is hard to look at the tape measure straight on to get an exact reading...

PS:  Please note, there are other bigger gears which turn these little gears (which I listed above), which then turn the pots.....oh My!

I haven't recieved my yoke yet, so I'm not exactly sure what I'm missing but I'm told there's no pots included so I'm assuming that the gears attached to them are also missing. At least one big gear is included (the one outside the box.

Wow! I would have assumed the two pot gears were identical. Thanks for measuring both!

I'm hoping that as long as I'm close with the gear ratios I'll be able to use software tweaking to get them perfect. Thanks for your help!

I would guess the left/right motion is greater than the up/down (ie: front/back) motion, so this is why they have different gear sizes to turn the two pots..... or.....maybe it is because there is not a lot of room inside the yoke assembly for big gears to turn the up/down pot.
