Hey guys, sorry for posting this here, I posted in the Software forum some hours ago to no responses. Here's my prob:

I have a pair of the ACTLabs Lightguns (Spacegun version), set them up, they work well as far as being accurate on the windows desktop.

But when I use MAME (MAME ver.105b, Lightgun is enabled, trigger is mapped), any game fires ok (I see the shot go off) but no matter where I aim the gun, the shot lands right in the middle of the screen where the crosshairs are.

As said earlier, the Lightgun input is enabled in the Mame.ini.

I also experimented with MAME32 ver.106b with the same settings to no effect, the gun fires, MAME picks up the actual shot, but the shot is always landing in the center.

Any Ideas?

Did you calibrate them with the switch on the side?

Did you calibrate them with the switch on the side?

You mean the switch that turns the screen white, then you wave the gun side to side/up and down? Yeah I did that.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

LOL, sorry was a pretty dumb answer.

I haven't updated MAME since .81.
I dont see the point because all the games I play are supported and I am happy.

Have you tried anything back that far?

Might be worth a shot, excuse the pun  :P

Problem solved, using this interesting in-MAME calibration system: file:///C:/DOCUME~1/Paul/LOCALS~1/Temp/Rar$EX01.656/Act_Labs_Light_Guns_on_XP.html

I believe, the proper Ebonics pronounciation is :

"Buss'um Caps" not to be confused with "Chillin' wit' my Fo-dy"
