iTunes 7
« on: September 12, 2006, 03:21:22 pm »
It seems Apple made decent strides in making iTunes 7 jukebox friendly..  The new 'album art' selection is pretty slick.  Can even be keyboard controlled.  (left and right for album selection, up and down for individual songs, space to play/pause, etc...)

If you could just get rid of the stupid menu bar on the side..  :(  Anyone figure out how to do that?

Thanx!

I agree, if you could make a skin for it or make the font bigger it would be great for a touch screen jukebox

The upgrade broke it for me. Mind you, I only use it for getting podcasts because I am too lazy to manage my subscriptions in a seperate program.

I'm getting major stuttering when playing and I use the computer, like the buffer is too low, and videos are now playing with a diagonal zigzag across it like mediaplayer does if its not using overlays. Apples support forums are full of audio issues but I haven't come across anyone with overlay issues. Thankfully VLC plays ipod formatted video sweet as so I can still watch them without the artifacts.

Yeah, we've had some of the audio stuttering, too..  Not terribly worried since I CURRENTLY don't use the computer to listen to music much..  I figure they'll fix it soon.

But if it continues to have these problems, obviously won't be a good standalone juke alternative  :(

It's fixed alreaady, and it appears only the Windows version had the problem.

Its still a mammoth download, I will stick with the buggy one for now and just keep playing podcasts in foobar or vlc till I go back to tech and can download it there on the fast connection. (Thats where I get most of my podcasts too)
