Best Metal Control Panel
« on: September 09, 2006, 03:00:24 pm »
Can I get recommendations on the best metal and thickness to use for a control panel?

I'll probably use generic overlay material from "Parts express", so no painting will have to be done.

Is mild steel adequate? Or should I go with aluminum?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Darren

16 gauge (roughly 1/16") mild steel is what most original arcade machine metal control panels were.
