Perfect 360 handles?
« on: March 18, 2003, 10:26:30 pm »
I'm curious about the handles used in the P360s.  Are they similar to the handles in the Supers or Competitions, i.e. similar diameter, length, etc.?  I ask because I am wondering if you could use the balltop replacement sticks for the Supers with the 360s.  It's hard to tell from the pics on Happs site.

The shaft is like super joystick but slightly smoother but same style..
The shaft is more like the x-arcade joystick shafts(little smoother then super's shaft).

actually the p360s are mods of a super or a competition so its exactly the same as one of those

nw the wico 360 is 1 stick while the p360 is a super with optical sensors or a competition with optical sensors

Thanks all.  Sounds like the replacement shafts should work with the P360s.

When I bought the whole p360 package it came with a slightly different shaft..its about 95% similer to super joysticks shaft though..i bought from my local arcade for $40 so no idea if it was either wico or happ(the guy told all happ's).

The guy who sells the replacement ball top handles on Ebay (n2new@aol.com) actually makes the handles himself.

If you gave him the dimensions of the perfect 360 handle in your possession  (assuming it is different to the Super/Competition handles) then I'm sure he could make a replacement ball top handle for you.

He's a bit expensive however according to previous posts the quality of his products is excellent.

I was considering emailing him to see whether he could manufacture a ball top handle for my T-Stik.

His name is Tom and he's a nice guy.  I have a couple of his replacements for Wico leaf switch joysticks and they are quality.  His prices have come down a bit on his ebay auctions - last ones I saw were $7 each for leaf or Super replacements.  I'm sure he would make custom sticks if I asked, but I'm hoping that if I get the P360s that I can just buy his standard replacements (cheaper that way I would guess).
