Happ illuminated buttons kit, how to?
« on: September 06, 2006, 01:41:42 pm »
Okay, I'm feeling a little slow on this one. I got a set of translucent buttons, leds and wedge bases from Happ and I'm not sure how to set this up. I wired up the leds and got those working, but you have to drill a small hole in the side of the button to press the led into, which is fine, but I don't have room for the collar that secures it underneath now. I'm using 1/8" plexi and 1/2" ply for the CP. I'll take a picture of the problem this eve, but I can't seem to intuit a way around this. Do I need the smaller type leds to put in from the bottom?  Thanks

I think I've figured it out. With 3/4" CP it's a real tight fit, but if you have to you can drill away a slight bit of the button collar. Might not be a clean wiring job, but we'll see shortly!
