FREE in Seattle: Empty Star Wars cabinet
« on: August 25, 2006, 10:01:59 am »
Hey guys,

I've got a completely stripped/parted out/bare Star Wars cabinet for sale in Seattle. It's actually an Empire Strikes Back, which is identical to Star Wars but with little ESB logo stickers in on the corners of the sides, which would peel off pretty easily if you just want the 'stock' Star Wars art. It's structurally very sound, with no water damage or chunks knocked out of it. The sideart is pretty nice on one side, and is missing a bit of art on the other side -- it looks like someone stuck a piece of tape on the side and then ripped it off. Luckily a lot of the missing part is black, which could be easily re-painted with a little gloss black Testor's paint or something similar. The cab is missing almost everything, including the marquee, "shroud," control panel/yoke, PCBs, and power supply. It DOES have a paint-flaking coin door and coin box, which would actually clean up well with a new coat of paint. Overall the cabinet would be a very good candidate for a replacement cab, if yours is water damaged or otherwise bashed up, or as the foundation for a MAME cab.

Price is $60 to locals only, no shipping. I may be able to deliver in the area if necessary. I can pull it out and take pictures if anyone is seriously interested, but please don't ask otherwise -- the cab is kinda buried right now. :)

Please e-mail me (not PM) at bobbyconover@gmail.com if you're interested. Thanks!

Bobby

Dammit, I'm looking for an empty SW or ESB cab right now... but I'm in MA.  I have a complete but totally water trashed SW cab here.

I am very interested in the cab, I live in West Seattle.  I would love to come by and look, no need to dig it completely out if it is accessible for a quick examination.

PM me wityh contact info.

Thanks

Welp, a few people were interested at $60 but nobody has followed through yet, and I badly need this cabinet out of here. So I guess it's free now! Consider it a "save this decent cab from the dump" situation, because that's where it's going if I can't get anyone to take it within a few days. :(

E-mail me at bobbyconover@gmail.com if interested!
