Auto Select 49-way mode program??

I remember reading a while back about a program that auto selects the right joystick mode for the 49-way sticks, i.e Pac-man 4 way mode selected automatically when you load the rom?? Can some one point me in the right direction, and is there more than one?

found it in search but have not used/tested it: Set49way by Sir Poonga.  Or, powermame can handle it as well.

Any ideas on how to where to install the files to and how to set it up?

In PowerMAME, you do it inside the game it's self. You hit tab (or whatever button you have set as tab) and go to game settings. Go down to the bottom and you will see the 49 way selector you just use the joystick to go left or right and select the mode you want. You do have to have the GP49Wiz hooked in for PM to activate this feature. You will also want to set your left right up down if you have not already done so.
