Rowe BC 11D Changer (Anyone worked on one?)
« on: August 22, 2006, 12:09:22 pm »
Another win at the auction this weekend was a Rowe BC 11D coin changer. I saw a website of some guy who had a gazillion games and in the corner he had a coin changer. I have thought that I would like one for a while. Talk about adding that little extra element to the game room. I waited till the very end of the auction because there was a smaller changer that not many people had poked around with. I decided to wait and got it for $10. This morning I got to mess with it a bit and dumped in all my BYOAC tokens. I hit the $1.00 test button but only 2 tokens came out but the motor kept running. I decided to try the other coin hopper and it did the same thing. Then I got an idea, what if it wants to give 2 from each side. I took out like half the tokens and made sure that both hoppers had tokens. I pushed the button and it gave me 4 tokens. Yeah!  :D

so I tried the $.50 and the $.25 and neither of them gave me a token. It made a loud clack noise. It sounded like a solinoid movement. so it was trying to do something but nothing happened.
I tried to put a new dollar in the dollar acceptor. This resulted in a really badly wrinkled dollar. I am not too concerned about this because I would be happy with rigging up a push buttin to the $1.00 test switch and being done with it being that I am only using it for my game room. But I am also a fix it kind of guy and would like to fix it if I can.

I have not looked at the computer portion at all.

I tried an online search for a manual, but ths did not turn up very good results. I found a lot of stuff about newer models.

Now I have to mod all my cabinets to take tokens.  :P
