Player 1 & 2 Blinking at coin up?
« on: August 17, 2006, 05:42:27 pm »
I am using MAMEWah with PowerMAME. I can not seem to make PM blink the Keyboard LEDs upon coin up. Any users getting this to work? I have also tried from PM32 and it does not seem to like the idea either.

I PM32 I have set Keyboards LED to on and to USB.

Actually I will put this in this post too. In MAMEWah, I am having troubles invoking any of the PM features that are menu selected in PM32. Which list do I put the settings into?
I have tried mamewah cfg in the MW folder and the mame in the ini folder and neither seem to respond to PM settings.

Just for example, I have tried to get it to display "Pausing" when I hit pause.

In PM32 in the INI file I found

pause_message           "Pausing"
ledwiz_timeout          60
ledwiz_attract          1
ledwiz_events           1
ledwiz_controls         1

I tried adding this in various places to the MW stuff.

Just to be anal, and completely useless...

Why "pausing" and not "paused" or "pause"?  It's one of those these where either you are or aren't.

Pause...what a weird looking word.

Dear Mr. Anal
the reason is a dumb one, but I had put pause in there innitally. In PM32 Pause would go on the screen. I changed it to something rediculous and the next time I started it up, it somehow reset to pause. I had this happen more than once. so during one session of testing, I switched it to pausing to make sure that the change had held. And this time it had. So I have not taken the time to change it again.  :P

I can't help you with the LEDWiz stuff, but I know that the keyboard LED blinking code in vanilla MAME was broken up until v0.107.  I have the player 1 and 2 buttons blinking now in regular MAME through the IPAC in the latest MAME, whereas it was broken in the previous versions.  Not sure if that is related to your problems though.

Very well could be. Before 105, I was still in the 50's. I used PM and I think that that is 105 or 6.
