Super Size me! Something wrong with my Wells Gardner monitor?
« on: August 15, 2006, 12:24:26 pm »
I am running a WG 25K7191 arcade monitor, and no matter what resolution I send to it from my PC (Win98->GeForce2/Powerstrip->JPAC), the image is always WAY too big for the monitor (although good quality). I can only see the top 50% or so. A JAMMA game PCB displays perfectly.   :banghead:

Is there something wrong with my monitor? Or video card? Or PowerStrip? I'm new at this, so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Thank you very much.

If the monitor is good with a Jamma board then the monitor is fine and your trouble lies elsewhere.

Thanks Ken! I've seen posts by you before and I trust your answer! That helps narrow down my problem a bit.

Hmmm. I know the Jpac can/will divide a 31Khz VGA signal to 15Khz so you can see it (but think it doubles up the picture). Does yours do this while your PC is booting up?

Will the Jpac leave a 15Khz signal alone? I think it does but not sure if there are jumper settings on it.

Is your screen "scrollable"? ie if you use the mouse and move it to extremes, does the part of the screen you can see scroll around? If so you have Virtual Desktop on.

What does powerstrip say you are outputting?
