Game Cabs for Sale - Schaumburg, IL
« on: August 15, 2006, 02:27:16 am »
http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/ele/192755141.html

Found it on CraigsList, picked up the only one with a 25" monitor for $200 (they had asking price of 300 - 400, depending upon size, assume that this was the largest--and it even fit in my Explorer!).

The smaller ones looked pretty decent--well worth the cost, in my opinion.  Well worth the flogging I'm going to receive tomorrow evening when my wife returns from her parents (she's a fantastic Golden Tee player, so I have some chance at a saving grace here).

Here's pics of the one I got for $200:

I figure it won't take much to upgrade this into something really sweet to put next to my UAII.

Sorry to ramble.  Sweet deal that someone should jump on and take advantage of.

So it came already set up like that?  Not a bad deal there.  Now get rid of that stupid marquee!  ;)

For $200, I'd say you got a hell of a deal. Doubly so if there is a keyboard encoder in there somewhere and not just a hack (it's hard to tell from your pics, but I think I see one in there). Tripley so if there is a PC in there as well.

Decals next, after the wife cools down... heh...  And marquee, of course!

No computer, but definitely a keyboard encoder, but not a keywiz.  Hey, it's on casters (even an extra set for tilting it and rolling), coin mech, power strip, and all that.  I'm kind of pleasantly surprised at this point.

Last I heard they still have 3 others, a bit smaller, but most likely same price or less.  Hell, it'd probably be worth it just to have this thing drop-shipped--seemed like the guys were young, business closing/going under (computer repair, in a strip mall) and the guy who had put together the cabs for them has apparently long since split.
