Tubular cam locks
« on: August 13, 2006, 10:56:34 pm »
I want to replace the tubular cam locks in my Capcom Impress.  When I bought it all but 2 were missing and the 2 didn't have the keys to them.  Do I need 5/8" or 7/8" locks?

In the late 1980's the A.M.O.A. standardized all coin door locks would be 7/8" long.

He didnt' specify coin door, and IIRC the cab has locks all over it to get it apart.

Impress is a Japanese candy cab, if I'm not mistaken.  I would guess it's going to have 5/8 locks.  You should be able to take one of the locks that's present, measure it, then see if it's going to work in all the other locations as well.  You'll need to remove it to replace anyway, may as well do it now and use it to test.  I would imagine all the locks will be the same length.

Get them from RichardP here on the board, he has an ebay store and gives BYOAC members free shipping. I am a satisfied customer...   :applaud:

I did buy them from him on eBay.  Didn't know he was a member here or about the free shipping.  I'm still new here. :-[
