Cocktail are you kidding me? Monitor Moutning question
« on: August 12, 2006, 04:16:59 pm »
did they really make cabinets like this?  The monitor needs to be mounted to the ...bezel?  the glass/wood part..and then be lowered straight down into the cabinet?

attached pics will hopefully make sense.  Seems like most cocktails I've seen have the monitor on hinges.

They have the FAST Ms. Pac-Man!  MOM!  Can I have a quarter!??

Ahh, the cocktail monitor mount... the bane of my arcade project.  I can't believe that they used to mount to the bezel... if that's the case, my worry level just went down by a factor of 10.  I bolted mine to the hinged door and tabletop - 4 bolts in each.  I recommend you do the same, if possible.

I recently looked at a SI cocktail, and it had the monitor mounted to the bezel.

 ???
Mine is mounted down in the cab itself. (cocktail)
When you lift the top the monitor stays down inside.

Kinda like this one:

Ahhh... very true.
I didn't even think about that.
Mine is a Taito version.
