Need a link to some good crimp tool?

Hey guys the only crimp/stripper tool I have is the one for coax lines.  What I am looking for is one that strips/cut 22AWG wire, also I need it to crimp on the .187 female quick disconnects.  Also if you have any good websites/stores to get this stuff at.  Like where can I get the .187 female quick disconnects for 22 Awg wire.

Not sure about crimping, but this is the only stripping tool I've had that works on very small wires: wire stripper

No links, but if you can swing the extra cash, a ratcheting crimper is the way to go.  Easier on the hands, better crimps, the ratchet holds the connector so you can insert wires more easily, and so on.  They can be had from most electronics stores, eBay, etc. for less than $25.  Plus they are handy to have around the house for repairs, etc...

If you are only going to use them for one project, go for the cheap type and wear some heavy gloves

Not sure about crimping, but this is the only stripping tool I've had that works on very small wires: wire stripper

That is the one I use, and I love it.

The auto stripping is adjustable for both length and strength, and the amount of time it saves is a marvelous thing.

I just wanted to add that I have found that it easily strips anything from coaxial cable all the way down to 30 gauge.


Oh yeah...

It works just fine for crimping as well.

Hey I will prolly go get that Kronus one then.  Hey you guys know the best place to get the quick disconnect terminals.  Does Radio Shack have any or will it be cheaper to get them online somewhere?

I got mine at a local hardware store. Online, gee, I don't know... hey, RandyT!! Know where anyone can get some .187 connectors?

Hey guys.  I got the crimp tool at Radio Shack today.  Haven't messed with it yet, but looking forward to it.  While I was there I bought 22 awg red wire.  I couldn' find a spool of 22 awg black so I got 20 awg black.  Would that be cool/work if I have 22 awg for my positives and my grounds be 20 awg?

oKay guys I am taking back the black wire tommorow and getting the three pack of black, red, green 25 ft each.  Then I wll use the black and the green as my ground wire.

I want to make sure I have 22 gauge on both!
