New to spinners ect. OptiPac spinner question.
« on: March 13, 2003, 11:23:11 pm »
I have not yet added a spinner or trackball as both of my hacks failed. I have an Atari Badlands cab fully working with it's wheels. The wheels are 360 degree and spin round and round in either direction. Could anyone make a guess as to whether or not they would properly interface with the OptiPac without seeing thier interface? Thanks a ton.

Yes.  Just wire the gound, X1, X2, and power correctly, and set the OpitPAC to the correct HI/LO setting.  IIRC, Atari optical PCB for the wheels are active LO, but you better check on that.

To get the second player working, you'll need a non official build of mame.  AFAIK, my mame:Analog+ is the only one still actively updated that lets you split the X & Y axes to player 1 and player 2 respectively, but there could be others.  See sig for link.
