Boards, boards and more boards
« on: April 06, 2002, 08:16:27 am »
Hello, I finally got the whole ie6 thingy fixed.  (Can't read the post here about it if I can't stay logged in).

Message Board: OK, I guess.  Elaborate logging in/posting/reading methods, but I guess the more advanced things get the more complicated the procedures.

Controller Board: Still the Gadget-cade, Tom A's panel on the old beat-up MKII cab, with the S-video setup.

Being Bored: Well, not really, but after 6 months of downtime, I finally got the new CPU in the cab.  It works again, and I can stop writing Sci-fi fantasy stories and start playing arcade games again!

A few questions:
1. How is everyone here?  Who's still around? Who's new?  I'm gonna read some messages to get my fell back.  Then I'm gonna check out the features of this message board and see about customization of my login here.

2. How's the old chat room?  Still operational, and does anyone stop by there anymore?

3. I was thinking... Yahoo's eGroups is another option for the message board.  I've been on and off of a few of them, and they really have a lot to offer, like file storage space, picture albus, etc. Why haven't we gone that route here?

4. Capcom X-Men vs. Street Fighter instruction cards: I can only find Japanese ones, and not american ones.  I can't read what they say each move does, and my son plays that a lot now.  I'd love to have the instruction cards printed and applied to the front of the bezel.  Anyone have links and/or scanned pics of them?  Ones I can print out and use?

5. What's new in the world of Emulation (In a nutshell?)  Basically, how has N64 emulation, Playstation Emu, and Capcom emu stuff come along since about July of last year??

OK, I'll lighten up.... for now.

Sorry. You can read and post without being logged in. But you loose some features. There was a news item posted on the main site probably a month ago.

With the exception of JustMichael and myself most of the old people don't come in anymore.  :-[

[12:10] <Hal> planetjay, I don't remember seeing eradic8r.

Hal is starting to forget some people.

However! there are a whole bunch of new people that hang out there now. Even some Canadians! Maybe we'll get some regulars from other countries one day. Please note that the most popular time now is between 8:00pm and 2:00am CDT (CST soon). Which works out good for the Un-Employed (me) and people on the West Coast, but is really bad for people in Europe.

I think people should come in at lunch during the week. I check the message board and it shows about 14 people logged in. Come in and chat for lunch. We can all eat together.  :)
