After a special type of T-Mold??
« on: August 05, 2006, 05:53:24 am »
Does anybody know of a type of T-Mold that has lips at the top and bottom, so it would clamp plexi glass to a CP base?? I have a 1/2" MDF CP base and a sheet of plexi-glass covering it, and would like to clamp these together. As i think that the 1/2" MDF would be too narrow to route for normal T-mold??

The t-mold with lip is 13/16''  that would be to wide for 1/2" plus plexi-glass would it not?

Yes but as has been said it depends how heavy your plexi is....  Plus you could always add a shim of plywood to the bottom of your 1/2" MDF around the outside edge, where you are putting the T-molding.
